Bread and Jelly anyone? + Hopefully my last preggo pic...

So this past summer Jared and I helped his grandparents out with their garden. We had to go out to Glenwood quite frequently but it was well worth the drive for the learning experience, not just gardening, but also about his Grandpa and Granny, I have grown to love them so much!

So they have these beautiful apple trees, which I made many apple crisps from this fall, and Granny said she would show me how to make jelly out of them. So this past week she called me up and said the apples were juiced and ready to be jellied and she had already done a batch or two that morning.... this was at 8:30am that she called. So luckily I had nothing better to do that day (surprise...) so I headed out and made three batches/12 jars all to take home for our food storage! And they are delicious.
Thanks Granny for teaching me the tricks of awesome crabapple jelly making.

So on the way home I decided that the only thing that would make this jelly any better was homemade bread, something I have never attempted to do. And it couldn't be just any homemade bread, it needed to be my moms recipe. So I called her up, got the recipe, went out got the supplies, and the next morning made homemade bread that turned out perfectly! And I have to say I have OD'ed a bit with the bread and jelly, but can you blame me?

Also I only have like 4 more days till my due date, crazy! So we took pictures yesterday and I am hoping that the next one will be of me with my baby on the outside, that would be fun. Although I have a feeling I am going to have to wait a bit past the date. I am hoping for some sort of improvement from my visit to the docs last week when I go on Tuesday, but I am trying not to get my hopes up.

Vegatables?

All right so I have been off work for a couple weeks now and I don't think it will come to many peoples surprise that I have been filling a lot of my hours with baking/cooking. I would like to say it's all healthy and what not but I really can't.

Jared's home teaching companion came to visit one time and brought some treats with him, they were squares of sorts, but we had never had them before, but we thought they we awesome! So since they seemed to be made out of golden grams I had this idea to look on the back of the cereal box and voila there they were! These amazing treats are called "Indoor S'mores" or as Jared has named them "Indoor S'moregasms". Haha ya, that good. So I think I made 3 batches of them for him in like a week, thats what a family sized box of the cereal can do for ya. The only question is how would you suggest I add some veggies in there, carrots, broccoli, suggestions anyone?

It is kind of funny when I suggest to Jared that he eats something other than these treats for breakfast and all he has to say is that they are made out of cereal, haha!

Thought I would take a picture of the recipe instead of typing it out, if you can't read it, it's on the back of the cereal box.

And I'm sure there is someone out there reading this wondering about my ever growing belly *cough Des*, so the only news is that I have a week till my due date! Crazy, but I think I have been saying that this whole pregnancy, everything is Crazy! But seriously other than that not too much new other than starting to get uncomfortable and the pains of the last month of body stretching and shifting funness. I had some maternity pictures taken a couple weeks ago, which went really well and I am really excited for them and will do up a post as soon as I get my sausage fingers on them, although Im thinking that will be after the baby gets his first photo shot done, since I got the combo deal from this great photographer. But we shall see.

I will try to do up a post as shortly after the little guy is born as I possibly can. Other than that, we wait.
