Bunnies and Chocolate

So we were in Claresholm this year for Easter, and we had a great time filled with Family and Food!

The Easter Bunny dropped off a stuffed replica of it's self for Magoo...

Not too sure what to think of his new blue friend.

Later he found out that the Bunny is a great wrestling buddy, he goes down every time.

Magoo was watching Gradmas Dog at the park

And swingin on the swings with Daddy.

We had a great weekend, the only down side was that Magoo really didn't sleep much, just too many exciting things. Also this weekend Magoo got his first puppy kiss by one of his cousins dogs. I may or may not have freaked out just slightly, dog kisses are so gross to me especially since Magoo's mouth was wide open, blahc. But since that kiss Magoo has been sticking out his tongue lots which is really quite cute.

And tonight Jared is taking me on a Date! That's right, it feels like forever since I went on a date, I'm pretty excited. Jared's sister who is down for Easter is going to come watch Magoo for us for a bit so we can go get some "me" time.

May is chuck full of events for us. So there will be lots to post about, hopefully I find the time to do it.

Also a little shout out to my brother, Happy Birthday Colter. I hope it's filled with lots of left over Easter Chocolate.

and time passes by...

Alright so this is going to be more of a random rambling post of sorts, continue reading at your own will. But stop now if you don't really care. haha bet you couldn't stop.

Jared has a hat sometimes he wears it, sometimes he doesn't. But on days when its cloudy outside he will put it on at before he goes out and calls it his "good faith hat" that's right, he wears his hat in good faith that the sun will make some sort of appearance that day while he is out, no matter how long...or short. So yesterday I packed away our winter gear and dug out the flip flops, thats right, I did a "good faith" switcheroo. I have some good faith that I am seeing the end of the snow at least for a few months. Please?

I also used to have LOTS of magoos "crap" downstairs in MY living area. Okay so mostly stuff that caught his crap, and things that helped get crap off his cheeks and prevent them from going red. Well people I moved them! Hooray! They now have an actual place in his room. Yes its on the floor, in a box...on the floor (I have an issue with unnecessary things being on the floor I would much rather have a shelf of sorts, something off the floor) but thats the way it is right now. At least I took a gift bag and made the box look less like a box that contains wipes and more like it was meant to sit in a room on the floor... too lazy to take pics, sorry.

Also I find Magoo is sleeping less in the day, the kid is 5 months old and is refusing to take a afternoon nap. All I have to say if he knows whats good for him this will be a phase...

This weekend is Easter, I LOVE Easter. The reason for Easter is beautiful and sacred and full of Love. I know that the Saviour, My Saviour sacrificed for Us and that he has made it possible for us to live eternally, and I Love him so dearly for that.
Also there is chocolate involved, and I also have this love/hate thing with chocolate. But it's mostly a love thing.

My little 5 month old is in swimming lessons. Weird you might think... or awesome! Ya I think awesome. He was such a champ in that big cold pool. He even went under a couple times at the end. Its a good thing it was at the end, cause he was so done after that. But he recovered quickly and really enjoyed the hot tub for a bit after.

doing his chores...
and with a smile on his face.

Today marks 5 months for him, one month and we're moving onto solids! Whoop Whoop!

In his 4th month...

So Magoo will be 5 months on Thursday! And we also start swimming lessons, so excited!
Here are some pictures from the 4th month...

He got his first hair cut along with some other firsts in this post.
He got sick for the first time, horrible since I got very sick at the same time. And the nickname "Boog's" caught on (short for Boogers).
He went in a swing for the first time...
and Loved it!
he played with Hesston, these two are best buddies
he played with Payton, she always asks to hold him and then decides he is too heavy and it doesn't last long... but she still continues to want to hold him every time we go over. So fun.
he fell asleep with a head warmer...
and then I checked on him later, apparently his face got cold.
and he now fits into the cute shirt Aunt Robyn got him. So handsome.

We have been having so much fun with him lately. He just started rolling from his back to tummy in the last week and last night he was on a roll all over the living room. I'm kinda sad cause I now have to start thinking about moving all my stuff at toddler level. He also has been sitting up really well not completely by him self yet but I would say definitely before 6 months.

When G-Lo comes to visit

Spring Break!

So Mr.Magoo and I got to go to Canmore for a couple days for my family's annual spring break tradition. Sadly Jared had to work and couldn't come, and even had to take a taxi to work one day (stupid snow...). We didn't go the whole week but we had a good time while we were there.

Magoo was so glad to be out of his car seat once we got there

Us chillin in the lodge
It was such a beautiful day
with the aunts
swimming for the first time
In the outdoor hot tub, he really seemed to enjoy it.
Aunt Emily, one seriously cute little Oviatt girl, and Uncle Bevan
Look at that hair! time for a trim.

The finished product

Thanks Nana Jo for watching Magoo while I went and "shred it up" (those were my moms words)even though you weren't feeling well. It was a blast, can't wait for next year!

A List:

So since I don't really know what to blog about I thought I would do up a little list of some of the thoughts inside my head.

1. I have been helping my brother and his family move into their own house, it's an awesome house so unique and fun.

2. I have been loving the time I have been spending out of the house and with family.

3. My little Mister Magoo has been so fun lately and so happy, smilie. I could just eat him up.

4. Magoo's eyes are this dark dark blue right now that are to die for. Eat your heart out kinda eyes.

5. We are bestest buddies my boy and I, and sometimes it drives me crazy when he does not want his Daddy at the end of the day, but a part of me secretly loves it.

6. I get to see one of my sisters on Friday and the other on Sunday. I love my sisters!

7. I get to go on a little vaca with my family for a couple days. It's something we do every year. We go to Banff, they will stay a week, but I will just go for a visit. Jared will not be coming at all, sad, and totally not fair for him.

8. I love that my son is sleeping and should totally be taking a shower right now, but I am always afraid that he will wake up and not see anyone around and freak out. He does that sometimes... freak out.

9. My orchid plant is about to bloom. This will be the third time since I got it. And I love it.

10. It has been snowing here, just when the snow had melted all away and Jared had taken out Mary (his motorbike) it decided to snow... I can't say the snow is really aggravating me like it seems to be a lot of other people. I just know that it will melt eventually.

Some pictures for you.

Magoo with two of his cousins, he sure has gotten to know them better the past week

thinking about eating him...
...and eating him.

p.s. Magoo is now 4 months as of yesterday!

3 months

Okay so Mr.Magoo is now three months and 1 week and a few days...
slacker? I think so.

Anyways he had his doctors appointment on Feb 22 and it went well. He was measuring 25 1/2 inches long and 13.8 pounds which is in the 50th percentile for both. I can't remember his head measurment but, he's always had a big head so I doubt it has changed much from the 90th percentile when he was born. Our doctor has always expressed how advanced she feels he is, I would agree. We know some other people whos baby is just a month older than Magoo and it seems he is a bit more advanced when it comes to playing with toys, and how long he will stand for. He can even roll from tummy to back (as shown in a previouse post). It seems he has really found his voice lately and he is all giggles.

Mr. Magoo and I headed up to my parents house last Thursday, just to get out of the house really, I know a little extreme for just getting out. We came up with a cousin of mine and were suppost to head back with my brother Riley on Tuesday, but it just seems to snow and snow and snow up here, never mind the freezing cold temperatures Edmonton has been getting. So it looks like we will head back on Saturday.

I have really enjoyed being at my parents house, but I totally miss Jared and am ready to go home... distance makes the heart grow fonder.

My poor baby last night broke out into a fever. He was not a happy baby and would sleep for an hour then wake up and scream for an hour. I had to give him tylenol a couple times and took off his sleeper to try to cool him down (he really did not like that). By 6am I was so exhusted I just laid him on my chest and he finally fell into a good sleep for about an hour and a half and woke up seeming much better, without a fever. By 8:30am he was out again, it's about 10:30am and he's still sleeping, hallelujah.
I looked inside his little mouth this morning and I think he might be cutting his first teeth! His bottom gums just look diffrent more white. I guess only time will tell. I hope he isn't breastfeeding and teeth don't really mix in my mind, and I really wanted to breastfeed until atleast 6 months...

In other news, my Mom, sisters, Mr.Magoo, and I went shopping on Monday.
Since giving birth I had attemped shopping for myself (around Christams time) but couldn't really get into it. I hadn't really adjusted to my new body yet. But this trip was super successful! I seriously have not felt so good about myself since before I was preggers. It's a great feeling. I got a few new cute things and I am loving, not to mention my new jeans. I seriousley love new jeans more than I love new socks, possibly more than Jared's love for new socks, and that's A Lot!

p.s. I will post new pics of my little guy soon... hopefully.
