warm days away

So I thought I would just give a little update. The past week has been busy, I really don't know if my life will slow down again until we are in Regina and Jared has started school.

This past weekend we went camping in Waterton with Riley, we had so much fun and Mr.Magoo did so well. And now we are up in Ardrossan hangin out with the Fam. We are having fun, but missing Jared who will join us on Canada Day, yay!

Tomorrow we have Dallin's grad, and I get to hang out with some great people. And after being here for just over 24 hours I have over 80 pictures. So be prepared for picture overload some time next week.

That's my update, I hope you are all having as much fun as we are in these nice summer days.

Sleeping Beauties Buddies

Came home from a jog yesterday to find this

and this is currently happening while I blog.

I am starting to really enjoy nap time at the Hamon House, especially when Dad is home!

these little piggies...

Magoo's new favourite thing to do...
This was on June 7, I was talking to my Mom on Facetime, and I look over to see him pulling himself up. Luckily Nanna Jo got to see it too! Now he does it all the time, even if the thing he's using is 2inches high, he just sticks his butt in the air.

Mr. Trouble, he loves the DVD player.

He was so proud he figured out standing in the crib. But he was also very upset when I had to run back downstairs to get my camera instead of pick him up. Haha.

Also I have started to "sleep train". Has anyone else done it, any advice? I am just done with rocking him every time he needs to sleep. Naps have been going pretty well, but night time is bad.
Doing anything to stay awake.

sleeping. appreciation. and other random thoughts.

Both my boys are sleeping it's 9:10 in the AM. I should be cleaning my house, but for fear of waking them I will sit here and blog (well really I have been reading every one else's blogs since it seems to be my favourite past time these days).

I took Magoo and my nephew Hesston up to Calgary yesterday to go watch my baby sis play Rugby, low and behold her [not] stupid coach didn't even play her... but we got to play in the grass with the grandparents. One thing I Love about my dad is he will give his grandkids a bucking bronco ride ANYWHERE, even out in public around a bunch of sports crazy parents and their sporty kids.

It was a last minute decision trip and I forgot the sunscreen and Calgary was HOT and sunny, not a bad thing, unless there is a baby who you REALLY don't want to get a sunburn. Needless to say we made a make shift tent out of folding chairs and a blanket for him to play under, and when he wasn't under that he was wrapped in a blanket so those harmful rays couldn't get at him, and yet his arms were oh so slightly red last night.

A story. My Dad was telling my how my little sis gets kinda wound up at night and will come to pester my parents and 10 at night after they have crawled under their blankets and turned on the late night t.v. shows. Lots of the time they will play along with her, and give her all the attention she is longing for at that time. But the other night my mom told her to leave them alone.... apparently my sis was hurt. But one day when she is up with a crying baby late at night, or when said crying baby is actually asleep by 7:30 and she is sitting on a couch with her feet up reading a book or enjoying late night t.v. by 8 she will understand just wanting to be left alone, without children for like an hour before she goes to sleep, she will look back and not be hurt, but appreciate the time her parents spent having late night tickle fights. I know I do.

Also my hunk of burning love gave me a foot massage last night, just out of the blue. Love him!

Yesterday on our drive to Calgary my Mom called to ask what I wanted on my sandwich from Subway, and after I had told her and got back to driving I thought I should have told her to make my sandwich however she desired. Cause lets face it, my mom makes the BEST sandwiches.

And I am going on a date to night with my foot rubbing wonder, so excited. I texted him on Thursday while he was at work "I think I would really like it if we went on a date this weekend". That's when you know I'm having a good day with Magoo...

Another side note: Hesston is the best nephew, he was so helpful to me yesterday. This is how it came to be that he was with me yesterday. On Thursday I went over to make Jam with Karmyn (Hesston's mom) and as I was leaving Hesston asked if Magoo could come over another time for a play date. I said sure, he asked if it could be the next day...
I told him my house was a mess and I had to clean it. He said if he came over to our house he could help me by watching Magoo while I cleaned. I thought it was brilliant. He came over, but we went to Calgary instead of cleaning, which is another story all in its self.

East on Hwy 1...

We left on Thursday night, drove for a couple hours and stopped and set up our home-away-from-home. In the rain. But Magoo did pretty good all things considered.

It was pretty cold that night in the tent, so I tried to cover him well, can you spot him? Too bad he kept pushing his blankets off himself so by morning he was cold and had a runny nose...

So the next night we decided it would be better to have a little better shelter since it was calling for thundershowers. Magoo was so glad to have some room to roam around.
So where did we go? REGINA! Jared and I had both never been there before so we decided to go check it out. The drive wasn't too bad really, it went by pretty quickly. The city it's self is really beautiful with lots of pretty trees and greenery, which I love. Too bad it was raining pretty much the entire time we were there.

So we didn't go to Regina just cause we picked a random city to go visit... we went to scout out the city we will be calling HOME for the next few years. Yes, we are moving there in August! Why? For school, for change, to be adventurous.

I am nervous. I love Alberta and would love my children to have the same feelings for this province as I do, but perhaps I will fall in love with Saskatchewan, only time will tell. I think I will always feel "Alberta Bound".

I am sad. To be quite a bit further than family than I already am will be hard, but hopefully they will come visit lots *wink wink, nudge nudge* we would love visitors. I told Jared I feel like the last week or so I feel as though I have gone through a bit of a "grieving" process, just the thought of going and leaving and not knowing very many people in Regina. Luckily there is one family in Regina we know, and got to visit while we are there, hopefully we will find a place in the same area as them.

Will we be back? Yes, would be MY answer, Jared doesn't really have a "plan", but he would move back eventually if thats what I wanted, such a good man. We "plan" to stay in R-town for at least 4 years, but we only have to stay for 2 if we really hate it...

On the way home Magoo passed the time by trying to get his foot in his mouth, and finally he succeeded, the 5-point harness definitely made it way more difficult than it normally would be.

He was so done with being in the car by about Medicine Hat (2hours from home).
He was so giddy to be out by the time we got home at about 10pm he was wired for a bit before he finally crashed.
So the next couple months will be packed with house hunting and packing, and hopefully visiting family, that's the plan.

Anyone want some couches? I think we are going to get rid of ours before the move...

Why?: Fashion

Found this at Gap Kids...
His size, his gender, and I just don't understand it's function... there isn't even a brim!
Here, lets burn your ears and your nose, and half your forehead.
Why, I ask, why?

Magoo on the Move

So Magoo started to really crawl a couple nights ago. Before he was just kind of army crawling and not very fast. He also can get from a laying down position onto his bum, hopefully I can catch a video of that sometime soon.
